Fare thee well, Dorian!
My three years at business & design school Lentia as an English language assistant have been an amazing experience. What began as a teaching assistantship quickly turned into one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I had the pleasure of not only teaching the students and sharing my language and culture with them, but also got to experience the wonderful culture and events that the school creates.
Some of my favorite memories of my time at Lentia include my lessons in the workshops with the fashion students, where I had the pleasure of experiencing their projects firsthand. I was always blown away by their talent and creativity, which always left me feeling inspired. Their creativity, passion, and enthusiasm for their craft is genuinely infectious, and I like to think that our English lessons in the workshops together were as enriching for me as they have been for them.
Beyond the classroom, I was welcomed into the full school experience. Attending the balls and fashion shows were highlights of every year. Witnessing the students‘ hard work and planning come to life on the runway and at the events is something that always impressed me. Additionally, accompanying the students on their language trip to Scotland last year was an unforgettable experience.
What I will take with me from this experience are the connections and memories I have made at Lentia. The warmth of the staff, the energy of the students, and the spirit of the school as a whole made every day a blast. I am deeply grateful for every moment, and for the community that so generously took me in. Thank you to all of my wonderful students and colleagues for welcoming me with open arms and including me in so much over the past three years. I will miss seeing you all in our lessons, and wish you all the best!
